Rebecca’s Healthy & Fun Meals: Get Creative!

February 24, 2012 by Imprint Fitness

So many of us believe that eating healthy or “dieting” has to be boring. Not at all! MIX IT UP. If it fits into your macronutrient (protein/carbs/fat) guidelines for the day, you will be okay. You can even squeeze in a few non-“clean” foods here and there without it effecting your weight loss. PROTEIN is my (And Needs to be YOUR) TOP PRIORITY in EVERY meal/snack.

Here is a great link to figure out your daily macronutrient/caloric needs: Find it all Here.

Here are some examples of satisfying meals I’ve eaten throughout in the past few weeks:

Omelette with Cottage Cheese, 1 Serving Sweet Potato Fries, Low Carb Ketchup/Greek Yogurt Dipping Sauce

Chocolate Pumpkin Protein Bars

Protein Pancake with Raspberries, Natural Peanut Butter, Protein "Sauce" and Cottage Cheese

Kabocha (Tastes like French Fries), Grilled Chicken and Low Carb Ketchup.

Omelette, Kabocha, Cottage Cheese and Low Carb Ketchup.

Omelette with Almond Cheese & Mushrooms, Kabocha.

Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, 1 Tbsp. Sugarfree Pudding Mix topped with Almond Butter, Sugarfree Raspberry Preserves and Whey Protein "Cream".

Wheat Bran Protein Pancake with Almond Butter

Grilled Chicken and Cauliflower Salad with Low Carb Ketchup & Yogurt Ranch.

Grilled Chicken Salad with Almond Cheese.

Super Low Carb/Calorie "Cheesecake", Made with Greek Yogurt, Cream Cheese, Stevia.

Cheesecake Pieces with Cinnamon, Stevia and Almond Butter.

As you can see, I use a lot of the same ingredients over and over again to make different meals/snacks. Sometimes less variety is the best way to go!

My 3 kitchen staples are: Egg whites, eggs, cottage cheese. There is so much you can do with these and so many ways to experiment!

Start having some fun cleaning up your diet and find alternatives to the foods you crave!
